Margaret E. Haase Frost, 85, of Janesville, died October 10, 2009, in Houston, TX. She was born on May 31, 1924, to Adolph and Ursula (Densmore) Kemp, in Madison, WI. She was confirmed at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, Kirby, WI, and graduated from Tomah High School in 1940 on her 16th birthday. Her first job following graduation was switchboard operator at WI Bell in Madison, where she was working when Pearl Harbor was bombed December 7, 1941; every light on the board lit up! She was united in marriage to Arthur R. Haase on Aug. 14, 1944, in Kirby; moving many times before settling in Janesville in 1962. She was proud to be the first kindergarten teacher at St. Matthew's, Janesville. Her devotion to family and friends showed in her faithfully sent cards, letters and Thank You notes. She enjoyed her Bible study groups and served on many church committees throughout the years. Arthur preceded her in death on Sept. 18, 1990, after 46 years of marriage. She later married LeRoy R. Frost on March 12, 1995, at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, Kirby. They were blessed with six years of marriage before he was called home on Jan. 30, 2002.
