(FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT.) It is my painful duty to record the death of a very old and highly respected resident of the district. The sad occurrence to which I allude is the death of Mrs. Bell, of Mundaroo station. The deceased lady had been in delicate health for a considerable time, but no immediate danger was anticipated until about three weeks before her death, when she contracted a severe cold, which ultimately turned into bronchitis, and in spite of all that medical aid and the best of nursing could do, her illness terminated fatally on 16th July. The deceased lady was the wife of Mr. B. Bell, of Mundaroo, and had been a resident of the district for 42 years. Many who are now far distant from here will learn with regret of the death of the mistress of Mundaroo, and at the same time with pleasure remember the kindly welcome and genuine hospitality which all classes of visitors were sure to receive from the deceased lady. She was in her 69th year, and leaves a husband and grown-up family to mourn their loss. Her remains were interred in the Tumbarumba cemetery on. Sunday,19th, the cortege being one of the largest ever seen here, and which no doubt would have been much larger had it not been for the bad state of the weather.
