Thanks for proposing this merge. They certainly look like they are the same person (and the same thing for other members of the Kerswell family, who I see you've also proposed merges for) - but there is the issue that the mother doesn't match.
In the case of Kerswell-146, the mother being Mary is attested by the baptism records, and the same for all of her siblings. I have checked to see whether there are any entries in the Modbury baptism register for these children with parents Richard and Elizabeth and have found none - I've looked at both a transcription and a scan of the original register, and confirmed the results in both cases.
I note also that the birthplaces of Richard, Elizabeth, and the oldest daughter Susannah are all given as Kenton - some considerable distance from Modbury.
I suspect what we have here is the confusion of two families - a Richard and Mary Kerswell from Modbury, whose children were Mary, Elizabeth, William, George, Richard, Grace and Anne; and a Richard and Elizabeth Kerswell from Kenton, whose children included Susannah and possibly others.
I will look at this again tomorrow to see whether I can confirm or reject this hypothesis. Assuming that I can confirm it, I'll go ahead tomorrow by setting all the children to the correct parents and proposing the remaining necessary merges. But please let me know if you find any reason to disagree with that in the meantime!
Thanks again for your help!
