Biography

Mary was born in 1806, in Rutherford County, Tennessee, the daughter of Thomas and Jane Killough. 15 December 1825, she married Daniel B. Murchison in Carroll County, Tennessee. The children of Daniel and Mary were:

5. Mary W.
6. Weldon Jones Murchison
7. Daniel MacIntosh Murchison
8. Arabella (Murchison) Odell
9. Lucy (died young)

In 1830, the couple joined the Cumberland Presbyterian Church. The family moved to Texas and settled in Houston County in February 1848 from Holly Springs, Mississippi. Mary died from injuries sustained from being thrown off her horse four days earlier. She passed away in 1853.
