Biography

Monollah was born 18 Jun 1908 in Oklahoma. She was the daughter of James King.

In 1910 she was living in Fritzlen, Woods, Oklahoma.[1] The household included J R King age 52, wife Kette K King age 43, son Elmer L King age 22, son Charley M King age 16, daughter Alack B King age 14, daughter Mary M King age 13, daughter Ora King age 11, daughter Dora J King age 7 and daughter Monola King age 3. JR and Charley were born in Missouri; Kette was born in Illinois; Elmer was born in Kansas; the rest were born in Oklahoma. J R was a farmer. Kette was the mother of 9 children, 8 living. Elmer and Charley were working on the farm.

In 1920 she was living in Elwood, Barber, Kansas.[2] The household included James R King age 52, wife Kate King age 52, son Elmer King age 31, daughter Dora King age 17, daughter Monollah King age 11 and daughter Marie King age 9. James was born in Missouri; Kate was born in Illinois; Elmer was born in Kansas; Dora, Monollah, and Marie were born in Oklahoma. James and Elmer were both laborers on the railroad.

Leroy Park and Monollah King were married 03 Jul 1924 in Alva, Woods, Oklahoma.[3] Her mother was Mrs. Katie King. Elmer King was a witness. Leroy's brother Vernon was married to Monollah's sister Ora.

In 1930 she was living in Hutchinson, Reno, Kansas.[4] The household included Leroy Park age 29, wife Lenora Park age 21, son Jack L Park age 5, daughter Iva R Park age 3, and daughter June L Park age 1. Lenora, Jack and June were born in Oklahoma; Iva was born in Kansas. Leroy was a laborer at a laundry.

In 1940 she was living in Hutchinson, Hutchinson City, Reno, Kansas.[5] The household included Leroy Park age 39, wife Monollah Park age 31, son Jack Park age 15 and daughter Reola Park age 13. Jack was born in Oklahoma, the rest in Kansas. Leroy was a truck driver for street construction.

She died Feb 1985.[6]

She is buried in Liberal Cemetery, Liberal, Seward County, Kansas.[7]
