Biography

Hannah was born about 1793. She passed away in 1864.

In the 1820 Census in Chatham Co., NC she is found as widow Hannah Rives with 1 male <10 and 2 females <10. James Perry is found two doors down with only himself and a female age 16-26.

She is named as Hannah Perry in her father's probate records in 1829.

Research Notes

Hannah's FindaGrave memorial has George W. Rieves as her son with Reuben Rieves but his birth date is 1826, when Reuben died in 1816 and there were only two daughters in the probate papers. Hannah does have a boy in the 1820 Census . The only way that this is George is if his headstone is incorrect and he was actually born in 1816. In 1826 she is married to James Perry and she has daughter Elizabeth that year.
