Biography

• Sallie was b. 1881 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, daughter of Thomas Kissinger and Susan Wike.

• In 1900, Sallie was a young woman of 18 years, living at home with her parents and younger siblings, plus her uncle and grandmother.

• First marriage abt. 1903 to James R Weachter (1882-1952). Later divorced. One child, Minnie K (Weachter) Latshaw (1904-1992), m. William Bard Latshaw (1902-1978).

• Second marriage Nov 1909 to Samuel F Ditzler (1880-1935).

• In 1910, Sallie is 27, and has married Samuel Ditzler 28. They are living with her parents Thomas and Salinda. Also living with the family is a granddaughter, Minnie Weachter (6) and Uncle Allen Wike.
  • The census taker has written that Sallie Kissinger Ditzler has one living child. Allen Wike is listed as a widower.

• In 1920 they were living in West Cocalico, and Samuel 39, Sallie 38, and Minnie 15 were all working in the cigar factory.

• DIed 1966 in her daughter's home in Denver.
