Biography
Sylvanus was born in 1758 or 1759. Sylvanus Knox ... He passed away in 1839.
SAR Application says last name was originally Nocks and spouse was: Hannah Bunker Nocks and child was: Sarah Burnham Knox.
According to SAR application for grandson Oscar F. Knox: Served as a private in the New Hampshire troops part under Captain Wentworth and part under Colonel Poor. Made application for pension on April 13, 1818, at age 61 and granted $96/year and placed on the rolls September 14, 1819 and pension commencing April 13, 1818. His widow, Hannah, made application and received pension for the services of her husband during her life.
