1940 Census: Rented house at 15 Leslie St, Paterson, Passaic Co. NJ. James J Causer (age 33 abt 1907), Frances (age 31 abt 1909), Florence (7 abt 1933), Ronald (2 abt 1938), James (age 56 abt ), Carrie (age 55 abt 1885). Father James and mother Carrie both born in NJ. He completed 3rd grade, she completed 4th grade. James completed 8th grade, Frances completed 2 years of high school. James was employed as a Bridge Tender in 'Steam Rast Rd' (52 hrs, 52 weeks, income $1500), Frances employed as a Sewer in 'Silk Underwear' (44 hrs, 13 weeks, income $200). James was a Fitter's Helper in 'Steel Structure' working 0 weeks in 1939. All lived in the same house in 1935.
