Biography
Bernardina Dorothea Henningfeld married William Kortendick in 1847 as indicated in the St. Ludgerus Catholic church record of Selm, Prussia.
in the 1860 & 1870 census his surname is listed as "Cottendick"; 1880 census spells it as "Cotendick" and includes his mother-in-law "Barbary" age 71
Wm died without a will and it took some time to gather all the necessary paperwork to close the estate. One problem was the various spellings of the surname and proving they were all the same person.
