Note: Robert A. Kratochvil, 70, of Greensburg, died Sunday, Nov. 28, 2010, in Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg. He was born Feb. 7, 1940, in Jeannette, a son of the late John andMary (Matthews) Kratochvil. Prior to retirement, he was employed by Supervalu. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church of Southwest Greensburg. In addition to his parents, he was precededin death by a granddaughter, Kiera Gaffney; and a brother, Charles Kratochvil. He is survived by his wife, Donna J. (Opela) Kratochvil; three sons, David Kratochvil (Toni), of McConnelsville, Ohio, Mark Kratochvil and Kevin Kratochvil, both at home; two daughters, Carol Kratochvil, at home, and Sharon Gaffney (Christopher), of Youngwood; two grandchildren, Alison and MichaelGaffney; a sister, Mary Frances Lee (Dr. Hwa-Wei), of Jacksonville, Fla.; his beloved pets, Megan and Kayla; and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to8p.m. Wednesday at the MASON-GELDER FUNERAL HOME INC., 201 N. First St., Jeannette. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home with Pastor Jerry Detar officiating. Entombment will follow in St. Clair Cemetery Mausoleum, Hempfield Township. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Faith Baptist Church, Mace and Weaver streets, Greensburg, PA 15601 or Westmoreland County Special Olympics.
