Johann Christoph Ludwig (Louis) was born at Nürtingen in 1803, son of Johann Christoph Körber and Rosina Sophia Laux, married Charlotte in 1830 and soon after left for America by way of LeHavre, France, and arrived in Baltimore, Maryland, in September 1833. By November 1837 the were in New York, when he applied for naturalization as an American citizen. He and his family were living in Williamsburg in Brooklyn in 1850 and still there in 1860. Ludwig/Louis was a weaver by trade in Germany and America. He passed away after 1860.
