Edward was born about 1816. [1] He was the second son of John Corbet, Comptroller of His Majesty's Customs, of Castle Townsend, County Cork; who was deceased as of 1840. [2] [3]
On 6 August 1836 at St. Peter's Church, Dublin, he married Anne Cook, only daughter of the late John Cook Esq. of the firm Hague, Beaumont and Cook of Dublin. [3] [4]
He was admitted to the bar at the Dublin Court of Chancery on 15 April 1840. [2]
In May 1841, he and wife Anne were the plantiffs in a case against the estate of John Cook, late of Dublin, merchant. [5]
In 1842, a solicitor Mr. Caldwell was found guilty of attempted rape of Annie. [6]
He passed away 10 May 1853 at the age of 36. He was of the Calcutta Bar and joined the Supreme Court in 1851. [7]
