Biography
OBITUARY: Mary Geraldine McIrvin, age 77 of Rockdale, passed away Thursday morning, April 14, 2022 in the Baylor Scott & White Hospital in Taylor.
Mary was born May 7, 1944 in Central Falls, Rhode Island to John P. and Margaret C. (Nesbit) LaBerge. She met Elmer Archie McIrvin while he was stationed in Rhode Island and were married on June 28, 1968 in Norton, Massachusetts. She was a homemaker, a beautician and a bus driver.
Mary is preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Archie McIrvin on August 24, 2020; their son, James McIrvin and her parents, John P. and Margaret LaBerge.
Surviving is her son, Elmer Archie McIrvin, Jr. of Rockdale; daughters, Margaret Kerns of Rockdale and Tammy Barnett and husband Tilmon of Rockdale; daughter-in-law, Mary McIrvin; 11 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
A private family service will be held at a later date to celebrate her life.
