Louisa cam to the US in 1848 (age abt ~1 year) and never spoke english. If this is really true, then she should be in the 1850 and 1860 US census records as a daughter under her maiden name. Can’t find her in either census before 1870. Since she is in 23 in 1870, now married to Leander, maybe Worcester or Middlesex Co is a good place to start to look.

In 1920 she was living with daughter Louisa listed as “mother in law” born in Canada
