Richard Wilford Ignatius LaFond was born on 20 Mar 1913 in Seattle. His parents were Wilford Hector LaFond and Mary Katherine Sharkey.^[2][3][4]

In 1940 Richard was living with his family at 110 Rogers Street, Olympia, Washington.^[7]

Richard W. LaFond lived in Shelton.^[2]

Richard LaFond and Violet L Evans were married by the Justice of the Peace in Elma, Grays Harbor County on 10 Feb 1947.^[8] Their license was from Mason County^[2]

Richard was a logger and Violet was a cab driver at the time of their marriage.^[2]

In 1950 they were living in Mason County on Hollman Street/Jones Road.^[9]
