Biography

Frederica, was the mother of film actor Stewart Granger. See his book, "Sparks Fly upward" Published 1981.

Her marriage to James Stewart was registered at Kensington, in the June quarter of 1904. She is recorded as Frederica Eliza Charlotte Fitzgerald.

Eliza Frederica C Lablache was Clarissa's Aunt, sister of her grandmother Fanny Maud, plus mother of Iris Stewart, whose first husband name was Fisher. Iris was the mother of Bunny Campione.

Eliza was born in 1883. She was the daughter of Luigi F Lablache and Jane Breadon. ^[1] She passed away before 1971.^[2]

At the time of the 1939 Register, taken in the UK on 29 September 1939, Eliza was living at 88 Overcliff Drive, Bournemouth. She gave her details as "Eliza F C Stewart". Appearing with Eliza at this address was Adelaide Alice Dakin, born in London in 1902 (birth registered in the June quarter at Wandsworth).

Eliza died on 4 January 1976. Her probate record reads: "STEWART, Eliza Frederica Charlotte otherwise Frederica of 57 Grove Rd Bournemouth died 4 January 1976 Probate London 17 March £45328 760107364R"
