Joseph Henri Labossiere was born at Montreal on May 16, 1888 and he was baptized there the next day. [1] He was the 12th. child of 15 and the last of three sons of Louis Joseph Zenophile Labossiere and Marie Estelle Bayard. He was the only son who lived to an adult.

Henri Labossiere married Marie Adelina Girard at Montreal on April 15, 1920. She is a daughter of Treffle Girard and Victoria Chaput. Some time after this, Henri and his younger sister, Rose Alba began using, "de La Boissiere" as their surname. So far, this is the only known occurrence of this surname variation. It is not known why they did this.

Adelina Girard passed away at Montreal on Feb. 13, 1930 and she was buried there three days later. She was 49 years and ten months.

Henri De LaBoissiere married again at Montreal to Irene Favreau on April 14, 1941. She is a daughter of Henri Favreau and Philomene Carmel.
Henri De La Boissiere passed away at Montreal on Jan. 3, 1952. He was 63.
