Here lies Edward Lacon armiger of Willie Hall in the county of Shropshire, who died AD 1625 in the 80th year of his age
and Joanna his wife, sometimes the wife of Edward Wilson armiger lord of that manor, a woman of considered virtue, modest, prudent, adorned with the gifts of grace and nature.
She brought up her children in the fear of the Lord, and lived a pious and religious life. She endured the pains of the disease as she grew older with great patience and constant faith, and gave her soul back to Christ on the 13 day of August AD 1624 in the 79th year of her age.
