Biography

Edward's 1616 will is extant and identifies his brother Sir John Lambe and an uncle Thomas Aylett, which securely shows him to be a son of John Lambe and Elizabeth Aylett.^[1] It also names his wife Marie, a son John Lambe, two daughters Susanna and Marie, sister's son Edward Bird, wife's son John Harwood, and another brother Mr. Thomas Lambe. He lived in Rothwell, Northamptonshire at the time. The will was not probated until 1646.

Research Notes

An earlier profile indicate that Edward was father of Edward Lamb, but Great Migration Begins (1995, p 1151-2) does not identify any parents of the emigrant Edward. He also lists no sons named Edward in his will, so this idea can probably be discounted.
