In the 1911 census Arnold was living with his parents Frank William and Alice Lampitt at 63 Lady Margaret Road, Southall, Middlesex. He was aged 4 years. [2]
In the 1929-30 electoral for Sefton Park, Liverpool, Lancashire Arnold and his parents were living at 10 Linnett Lane.
Then in the 1930-32 electoral rolls for Islington, London he was living with several other people at 164 Highbury New Park.
And in the 1933 electoral roll for Crouch End, London Arnold was back living with his parents at 40 Shepherd's Hill. [3]

12 & 13 Aug 1937 - BIRTHS. LAMPITT. August 10, to Mr and Mrs A. F. Lampitt, at 26, Alexandra Crescent, Bromley, Kent, a son. [5]
The 1939 Register, taken on 29 September 1939, has been described as a snapshot of the civilian population of England and Wales just after the outbreak of the Second World War. The Register recorded each person's address, date of birth and occupation.
At that time Arnold and Olive were residing at Boscobel, Llantrisant Road, Cardiff, Glamorganshire, Wales. Arnold, born 9 October 1906, was aged 32. He was a company secretary for a chartered accountant. Olive, born 5 May 1909, was aged 30. The records for three children remain closed at this time [2018]. [6]
From the Western Mail & South Wales News dated 3 December 1941, Pg 4 -
SOUTH WALES SWITCHGEAR, LIMITED. Aberdare Cables, Ltd., announce they have purchased the assets of Whitehead Switchgear and Inventions Ltd., of Treforest, and propose carrying on the business by means of a subsidiary company – South Wales Switchgear, Ltd. The new board of directors will consist of Mr. George C. Usher, managing director of International Combustion, Ltd and Aberdare Cables, Ltd., F. G. Penny, Mr. T. Elder, and Mr. H. de C. Falle. The business will be extended and developed in conjunction with the extensive electrical cable business of Aberdare Cables, Ltd. The secretary of the new company will be Mr. A. F. Lampitt, and the registered office at Aberdare. [7]
Arnold made a couple of trips overseas, presumably for work. He flew British Overseas Airways Corporation from London to New York on 8 April 1956. [8]
He then returned home aboard Queen Elizabeth, departing from New York and arriving in Southampton on 24 April 1956. [9]
In 1960 Arnold flew aboard Pan Am Flight 1 703 [place of embarkation not recorded] and arrived in New York on 10 March 1960. He was in transit to British Guiana. It was further recorded Arnold was born on 9 October 1906 at Wembley, Middlesex. His home address was 9 Broadway, Gidea Park, Romford, Essex. Passport No. 5782, Visa issued 26 Feb 1960. [10]
Arnold was then recorded flying from Georgetown B.G. to San Juan, Puerto Rico on 13 March 1960. [11]
The final leg of his journey home was from New York to Southampton aboard Queen Mary, arriving on 28 March 1960. Ship records confirmed his date of birth and address as shown above. He was employed as a company director. [12]
