Biography
Elizabeth (Lampshire) Paull lost her father in the
East Wheal Rose disaster on 9-July 1846
Elizabeth (Lampshire) Paull was born in Cornwall, England.
Elizabeth was born in 1838. She was the oldest child born to Francis Lampshire and Jane Roberts. [1][2]
Her father died tragically when she was just eight years old. In 1851, she was living with her widowed mother and was working at the lead mines. [3]
Elizabeth married Francis George Paull in 1857. [4] They had a son, Francis George, in 1859, but he died in 1860.
In 1861, Elizabeth was living with her mother while her husband was "abroad", presumably in the United States (her last name incorrectly listed as "Bull"). [5]
Three more children were born in the coming years. In 1868, the family emigrated to the United States. [6]
Elizabeth passed away before 1870, when her husband remarried.
