Biography
Elizabeth Land was born about 1816 in Upper Canada, per the 1851 Canada census.[1] Some family trees list her as born about 1809, but no source is identified for this. Her parents are believed to be Abel Land and Elizabeth Hughson.
She married Martin Osborn, about 1831 in Ancaster, Wentworth County, Upper Canada.[2]
In the 1851 Canada census, Elizabeth Osborn, age 35 (born 1816), widow, was living in Saltfleet, Wentworth County, Canada West, with daughter Hannah, age 16. Their religion was Wesleyan Methodist.[1]
In the 1861 Canada census, her daughter Hannah was married to Patrick Murphy, and living in Brandford, Canada West.[3] Hannah died in 1921 in Michigan, USA.[4]
