Mary Ann “Polly” Landrum was born about 1760 in Loudoun County, Virginia, to William Landrum and his wife Sarah Anne. About 1778, she married Archibald Wilson.
Her father made his will on 4 July 1779 in Prince William County, Virginia, and left her “one bible & no more.”[1] She eventually received her portion of the people enslaved by her father when her mother remarried.[2]
