William Russell Lane Joynt, the son of William Lane-Joynt and Jane Russell, was born on 27 March 1855 at Limerick. [1] He was the son of William Lane Joynt (Lord Mayor of Dublin). [1]
Like his father and grandfather, he trained to be a lawyer. He was also a renowned philatelist and Olympic shooter. [1] [2]
He married Annie Quinn on 21 July 1883 at County of the City of Limerick. [3] [4] The couple had two children: Evelyn and William.
William Russell Lane Joynt died on 6 June 1921, aged 66, at Rosebuch Grove, Clonskeagh, Dublin. [5] [6]

Mr. William R. Lane Joynt, Barrister-at-Law, late of Carisbrook House, Pembrooke Road, Dublin, died on Monday at Roebuck Grove, Clonskeagh. The late Mr. Lane Joynt, who was in his 66th year, was a well-known figure in Dublin. He was called to the Bar in the Easter Term, 1879.[7]
