Source 1: Sharon Worden 1941 - 2013
Sharon Worden, 71, of Plymouth, WI passed away Saturday morning, March 23, 2013, in the arms of her children Brian and Kellie along with other loving family members. She had been a patient at St. Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan.
Sharon was born December 3, 1941 to Valentina and Howard Langlois in Wisconsin Rapids where she grew up. She fell in love with the boy next door, Patrick Worden, and they became high school sweethearts. After Sharon graduated from Assumption High School and worked at the telephone company for a couple years, she and Pat married in 1962 and started a life-long romance. Sharon and her family moved to Plymouth in 1977 when Pat took a job working for Aero-Metric Engineering in Sheboygan. Sharon found her many years working for Plymouth Hospital rewarding and was happy to be part of a caring community where she built lasting friendships.
Wonderful travel companions, Sharon and Pat shared many adventures, from the pyramids in Mexico to the glaciers in Alaska. Trips with kids and grandkids were also a joy, including vacations in New York, San Diego, Chicago and the Caribbean, among many other places.
More than anything, Sharon spent her lifetime loving her family, always putting everyone else before herself. As a loving wife, mother, daughter and more, she filled her heart with the joys of everything they were doing and never tired of hearing about their new jobs or latest home project, bingo games and soccer goals.
In 2006, Sharon lost Pat, the love of her life, and had been patiently waiting to be reunited with him ever since. She was also preceded in death by her mother Valentina, her father Howard, her mother-in-law Dorothea, her father-in-law Basil and her brother-in-law Barry.
Many here still hold her close in their hearts, including her children Brian (Karen) of Middleton and Kellie (Kenny) Kaye of Arlington, Va. Sharon was grandma to Rebecca, Kimberly and Samantha Worden and Kyle Patrick Kaye. Her loving family also includes her brother Jerry (Karen) Langlois of Hemphill, TX, her sister-in-law Mikoleen (Barry) Ulsrud of Madison, brothers-in-law Daniel (Julie) Worden of Beloit, and William (Nettie) Worden of Janesville. Sharon is also survived by many relatives and friends.
Friends and family may call at the Schneider Funeral Home in Plymouth on Friday March 29 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Following Sharon's wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family memorial service will be held later. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Sharon's name. Her family extends their sincere appreciation for the compassion and excellent care given during her stay at St. Nicholas.
