Wilbur Irving Lapham was born on 23 February 1899 in Alliance, Nebraska the son of Horace Irving Lapham (1869-1927) and Anna Margaret Leishman (1875-1951).[1][2][3][4] When his parents and siblings moved to Washington, Wilbur remained in Idaho, where he worked as a woodsman for the Rutledge Timber Company.[1][5][6][4] Wilbur passed away on 20 October 1920 in Bovill, Idaho from a basal skull fracture, which resulted from a logging accident.[4][1] He was buried in Palouse, Washington.[4]
