A pretty - wedding, took place at Upper Moutere, Nelson, on Tuesday, April 9, between Esther Clara Eggers, youngest daughter of the late Mr J. Eggers and Mrs Eggers, of Upper Moutere, and Percy Hewart Latham, youngest son of Mr and Mrs R. Latham, of Ashhurst, and late of Bolton, England. The bride’s dress was of crepe-de-chine trimmed with silver lace and pearls. The church was crowded. There were many beautiful presents, including several cheques. After the reception the happy couple left for a motor tour of the North Island, the bride’s travelling costume being of navy blue with hat to match. She also wore a lovely fox fur, the gift of the bridegroom. The future home of the young couple will be at Ashhurst.
