Biography

Etienne Isidore Latouche was born on 25 May 1833 and was baptized the next day in Saint-Roche de Québec parish. He was the son of Etienne Latouche and Louise Garnier. Sponsors at Isidore's baptism were Pierre Greenier [sic] and Elizabeth Grénier [sic]; neither signed the register. At age 21 Isidore, mason, married Marie Felicite Giroux on 16 Feb 1855 in Notre-Dame de Beauport parish. There was at least one child born into this marriage. Isidore died at age 37 in an accident on 1 May 1870 in Beauport; he was buried two days later on 3 May in Notre-Dame de Beauport parish cemetery.
