He worked as a producer, writer and director, most notably on Le Voyage en Amérique (1951) (writer, producer, director) and C'est arrivé à Paris (1953) (producer, director). [1]
Henri was born in 1914. [2] He was "a cavalry officer in the French army who held the post of professor at the Ecole des Cadres d'Uriage (a school for the preparation and training of paramilitary organizations).[3]
He married the actress Madeleine Carroll 13 July 1946 in Paris. They were divorced. "Carroll Weds in Paris. Paris, July 13 (AP)--Le Monde said Madeleine Carroll, film star, and Henri Lavorel were married Saturday in Paris in the strictest privacy. The newspaper did not furnish any further details nor did it identify Lavorel. Miss Carroll and Stirling Hayden, a Hollywood star, recently were divorced. Miss Carroll worked for the American Red Cross during the war."[4]
Lavorel died in a car crash in Versailles in 1955. [5]
