Biography

Daniel was born about 1833[1] in Queens County, Ireland.

He emigrated to New Zealand on the Chrysolite in 1862 with brother Michael, settling in Christchurch.[2][3]

He passed away in September 1885, aged 52 years,[4][5] and is buried in Barbadoes Street Cemetery, Christchurch.[6]

Research Notes

  • Sister Ann (Lawlor) Cassin emigrated to New Zealand with husband Hugh in 1860
  • Brothers Joseph and Michael Lawlor also emigrated to New Zealand.
  • Queens County, Ireland is now known as County Laois.

I found a Daniel Lalor immigrating with Michael Lalor in 1862 aboard the Chrysolite - both from Queens. He as 28. (DOB 1834) - matches with death date.
