Alexander was born about 1920. He is the son of Robert Lawrence and Alma Mills. He was listed on the 1921 census at St John's, Newfoundland. [1] He was 15 years old on the 1935 census at St John's. [2]

Beloved husband of 60 years to Flora (Myler) Lawrence; loved father of Bob (Cheryl) of Newcastle, Jim (Deb) of Burlington, Dave (Lori), John (Karen) and Cathy (Guy Boudreault), all of Smith Falls; cherished grandfather of Nancy Anne, Bobby, Sherri Lynn (Danny), Jamie (Nancy), James, Angie, Ashley, Carly, Mike, Jodi, Kaela and Melissa; great-grandfather of Alexandria, Robert, Blake, Alex, Zachary, Owen, Joel and Jacob. Fondly remembered by Teresa Lawrence, Lisa Clark, Greg and Michelle Lawrence, Ruth Lawrence and Maureen Lawrence. Predeceased by brothers Cecil and Donald Lawrence. Friends paid their respects at the Blair and Son Funeral Home, Smith Falls on Friday, September 6. Mass of Christian Burial was held in St. Francis de Sales Church, Smith Falls on Saturday, September 7 at 12:00 noon. In remembrance donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
