Marc was born about 1622 in Bouire
In Naturalisation Bill No 65 1662 Introduced into the Commons on the 2 May, 1662, passed the Lords 14 May 1662. he was said to be 40 years old born in Bouire, in the County of Callais in the Province of Picardy in the Kingdome of France and one of 8 named individuals Within Thorny Fenns and Ramsey Fenns in the Isle of Ely and Counties of Cambridge and Huntington they have peaceably settled themselves and dwelt for divers yeares past, being husbandmen and farmers of divers grounds in the same Fenns [1]

Mark le Pla died Aprill 13 1697 aged 75. Mary Ie Hover his wife dep. March 24 • 1693 aged 63. Also Mr.John Le Pla Esquire departed this life October ye v 1727 aged 72.[3]
His wife Mary le Hover is more likely Mary le Houcq, (Hover is taken from a worn gravestone inscription)
le Houcq is confirmed from baptism records.
Place of birth: previously given in the location field as "Boire, Comte D'Artois, Les Pays-Bas Espagnols", but this differs from the naturalisation. There are several places called Buire in Picardy, as well as one in Artois,[4] and without evidence to contradict the naturalisation Picardy should be presumed.
