Biography
Birth
- Calvin Leach was born at Livermore, Maine, in 1852, the son of Hartson Leach and Nancy (Robbins) Leach.[1][2] He is named as Calvin R. Leach in the will of his father, made on 4 Jan 1889.[3] His age at his death from his death record computes to a birth date on or about 9 Jan 1852.[4]

- Calvin Robbins Leach married Abbie Ruth Goding] on 18 Oct 1874, probably at Livermore, Maine.[5]
Biographical Details
- According to the 1906 Goding genealogy, Calvin Leach was "one of the prominent men of [Livermore, Maine], has been one of the selectmen, and is a successful farmer."[5] His FindAGrave memorial has a portrait, presumably of him.[6]
Death
- Calvin R. Leach died from pernicious anemia at Livermore, Maine, on 13 Apr 1919, with his age at his death reported as 67 years, 3 months, 4 days.[4] His gravestone at the Waters Hill Cemetery in Livermore is inscribed with the dates 1852-1919.[6]
