Biography

The son of Walter Leaf and Charlotte Symonds, Charles was christened 28 December 1895 in Tunbridge Wells, Kent.^[1]

He and his wife, Catherine Blanche Kay-Shuttleworth, had two children, Edward Derek Walter Leaf and Freydis Mary Leaf.

In the 1936 Summer Olympics, Charles was a member of the rowing team that won the gold medal for Britain in the six-meter class. Wikipedia:Charles Leaf
