Margaretha Sarah Ledbetter was born about 1770 in Conewago Township, York, Pennsylvania, daughter of Mary Churchill Bassett (1738–1803).
Margaretha (14) married John Jacob Baugher (24) in 1785.

In between marriages to Catherine Unknown and Sarah Ledbetter is a third spouse, Margaretha. The presumed mother of Jacob's younger children is Margaretha Unkown.
There does look to be a record of marriage for Sarah Ledbetter to Jacob Baugher based on the above link to the genealogy forum. But it is in 1821 after the birth of Jacob's children. The same source indicates Sarah previously married someone named Louis Ledbetter, and had children with that marriage. Her marriage to Jacob would have been her 2nd marriage, with no issue. Her name at birth was not Ledbetter based on this research. Because it is source based (baptism records in PA for mother Catherine, marriage record in Galatin Illinois in 1821) it does look convincing.
I would like to know what sources indicate Sarah Ledbetter is the mother of Jacob's children. There is nothing on either of Sarah's profiles (Ledbetter-2474 and Ledbetter-56) that indicate this. Thanks

Also, there is a find a grave memorial for a daughter to Jacob Baugher named Susan https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/68689035/susan-goodwin But I think it is wrong. I put in a suggestion for an edit, as the marriage record and death record for her daughter indicate a last name of Boher. Also, her birth in Indiana is very irregular for Jacob Baugher's other children. I don't know of any Indiana residence for Jacob Baugher.
It indicates a marriage date and location for Margaretha (1-17-1821 in Gallatin Co IL) to Jacob. It also indicates documented sources for a first marriage exist, and that the children were born to the first spouse, but did not provide any sources.

Also this same thread contained an unsourced list of Jacob's children:
"Elizabeth Susan Baugher George William Baugher b Mar 8, 1788 John Jacob Baugher II b. abt 1790 Isaac Joel Baugher b. abt 1800 John Jesse Baugher b Sept 28, 1809 Thomas Elder Baugher b Oct 9, 1810 William Baugher Susan Baugher (possible that she is the same person as Elizabeth Susan Baugher) John Baugher (b. about 1790).Could he be the same person as John Jacob Baugher II?"
No sourcing, but it does include a "Susan." This along with a documented marriage for Sarah Baugher to Samuel Woodside, and a documented marriage for Samuel's brother James Woodside to Susan Baugher, indicate the theory is plausible that Susan is a sister of Sarah Baugher.
Also, I did find a female head of household in 1820 Gallatin census named Sarah Ledbetter. Family Search has her attached to a profile that would make her a 10 year old head of household (something must be off), she's in the 26-45 column I believe. There are also children in the household. I haven't cross referenced with the 1830 Shelby Illinois census yet to see if it looks like a consistent household. (https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:XHG3-TQ4)
