Personal Notes.
An old saltier in the person of Mr T. Leedom died somewhat suddenly on Saturday at his farm Warea Road. The deceased settler, who was 66 years of age, came to Taranaki from Dunedin with the first company of military settlers. Prior to that Mr Leedom had been a digger on the gold fields of Victoria and Otago.
During his residence in Taranaki Mr Leedom was in business as a licensed victualler in several districts, and also was engaged in the flax industry at different periods. He leaves a wife and four children. The latter are Messrs Edgar and John Leedom, and Mrs F. Carrington and Mrs G. Wade, all resident in the district. The deceased settler's remains were interred in Te Henui cemetery this afternoon.
