He married Cleophe (Unknown) probably in 1563.[2] The couple lived in Schiltach near Alpirsbach, Duchy of Württemberg. Church records exist for the following children:
Jerg's date of death is unknown due to the lack of a burial record. In the above quoted marriage record of his daughter Anna, dated 27 September 1597, it is not yet mentioned that the father of the bride is already deceased.
Jerg's wife Cleophe is mentioned in the baptismal record for a child baptized on 7 May 1598 (Lucia Kilgiß) as godmother and "Jörg Legelers Weib" (Jörg Legeler's wife).[7]
In the baptismal record for a child baptized on 28 November 1601 (Magdalena Schweicker) Cleophe is mentioned as godmother and "Jörg Legelers seelig Hausfraw" (the wife of the deceased Jörg Legeler).[8]
Jerg therefore died in the period from 7 May 1598 and 28 November 1601.
