Biography

Marie Jeanne Legrand volunteered for voyage to Biloxi, Louisiana, New France colony arriving on January 8th, 1721 with up to 88 women aboard the French flute la Baleine. Her birth year of 1700 is calculated from the passenger list created in 1720 when she was 20. [1][2]

Marie Jeanne Legrand, daughter of Mathieu Le Fel & Marie La Porte, married Jean Baptiste Besson after 1725 at Louisiana French colony. He died before 5 Jan 1752.[3]
