Biography

Lucien Lelong was the son of a textile shop owner, and was born in Paris. He opened a fashion house in the early 1910's. He employed fashion designers and had a notable clientele.

He was married to three women: Anne-Marie Audoy, Princess Natalie Paley, and Sanda Annette Dancovici. See the profile for Natalie Hohenfelsen (Natalia Pavlovna Paley) which contains a quote that describes their marriage as more one of convenience than passion, with Lucien renowned for homosexual affairs.

Lucien retired in the 1940s and died on 11 May 1958.
