Biography

William Lesure

He was born January 17, 1825 and is the son of Jonathan Lesure and Achsah Phipps. William grew up in Stamford, Vermont with nine siblings; George E Lesure, David F Lesure, Franklin Lesure, Hiram Lesure, Mary Lesure, Scheels Lesure, Olive Lesure, Jackson V Lesure and Russell Emerson Lesure.

William married Sophronia E Oaks in 1852 and they made their home in Stamford, Vermont until her death in 1860.[1] Together they had two children, Louisa E Lesure[2][3] and Edvardo Lesure[4][5]

William married Ellen Augusta Kimball August 16, 1863[6] and they made their home in Stamford, Vermont[7] until her death in 1896. Together they raised five children; Idia A Lesure,[8] Albert Waterman Lesure,[9][10] Willis E Lesure,[11] Andrew Lester Lesure[12] and Estella A Lesure[13] William died November 26, 1900 and is buried in Houghton Cemetery, Stamford, Vermont.[14]
