Biography

Alice M (Letendre) Pinard

She is the daughter of George Letendre (1896-abt.1934) and Alice E (Belisle) Letendre (abt.1900-abt.1966)

She lived with. her parents in Fall River in 1920 and 1930.

In 1940 she and her husband lived in Fall River with two young sons. He was a printer in a box manufacturing company. ^[1]

They moved to the Hartford Ct area where her husband ran a cleaning service.

Alice loved spending time with her family and friends. She was very loved by all of her family but especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren and a lot of great memories were made with them.

Her sense of humor was contagious. She was a ray of sunshine to so many people, not just her family. She loved going out dancing with her husband in their younger years.

Notes

There is another Alice Letendre Birth 15 September 1917 Fall River, Bristol, Massachusetts Parents Joseph F, and Maria Joubert ^[4]. She appears to be another person, married L. P. Hector Blanchette. An apparent other Hector Blanchette and wife lived in Berlin, NH, where Rosalie Belisle's brother Frank Seguin's family was raised.

My research adds to the extensive documentation of Rosalie's family by descendants Greg Bard and Susan E. Duff (1947-2017).

Alice Pinard, 99, of Middletown, wife of the late Albert Pinard entered into eternal peace on Friday, April 14, 2017 in Middletown, CT. Alice was born on December 28, 1917 in Fall River, MA, daughter of the late George and Alice Letendre. Alice is survived by two sons, Donald and wife Barbara of Wethersfield and George of Oregon; a brother Henry Letendre of Fall River MA; grandchildren Steve, Bill, Bob, Pam, Lisa, Lori, Joe, Donna; many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. Alice was predeceased by her son Albert.

Alice loved spending time with her family and friends. She was very loved by all of her family but especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren and a lot of great memories were made with them. Her sense of humor was contagious. She was a ray of sunshine to so many people, not just her family. She loved going out dancing with her husband in their younger years. She will be greatly missed by many.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 20, from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at the Coughlin-Lastrina Funeral Home, 491 High Street, Middletown, followed by a mass of burial at St. John’s Church at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at the family plot in St. John’s Cemetery, Middletown.
