Hi Raf,

Yes that's the one and thanks for the great source and info, wished I had more time to work on this, but we have a spring Holiday here now and a seven year old who needs some (read a lot :P ) attention, so not much time for Wikitree this week . If I have more time I'll try if I can work on this, indeed we could add some of it to some of the van Horne profiles .

Thanks for the great help !! Bea

The Willem Godfriedszoon van Leuven that you're referencing would be http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Perwez-1. The exact history of the Perwez lordship is still somewhat unclear. It certainly passed to the Vianden, so a connection would logically be there. As shown here: http://fmg.ac/Projects/MedLands/DUTCH%20NOBILITY.htm#WillemHorndied1304 Gerards mother might have been Margareta of Looz, if the inscription was mistaken and Klaversma right about the Willem who died about 1280, she might have been Margareta of Vianden, who then would have remarried Arnold of Looz after Willems death. As daughter of Philips of Vianden and Maria of Perwez, inheriting Perwez would have been logic.

Hi Bea,

It has been assumed that Willem's wife Agnes was a member of the Perwez family. The arguments for and against are listed in this article that is probably still the best overview of the first generations of the Horne family: http://www.showeert.nl/artikelen/1.1%20hornes;%20weert-wessem-horn//klaversma%20altena-horne%20pshal114.pdf. Klaversma's view about the different generations in the Horne family are not generally accepted. It would probably be nice to put some of Klaversma's suggestions and opposing views in the profiles of the Horne family, but it would take some work. Additional info about the family can be found here: http://www.showeert.nl/P032_de_hornes_als_graven_van_.html

Hi Raf,

Not sure but ... maybe he was the Great Grandfather of this Agnes van Perwijs ? Willem van Horne II married in 1270 Agnes van Perwijs. She was a granddaughter of Willem Godfriedszn van Leuven heer van Perwijs en Ruisbroek (Vlaams-Brabant) son of Godfried III van Leuven from the House of Reiniers... (can't find a profile for her , so guess it just isn't present , don't know if there's a profile for Willem Godfriedsz van Leuven somewhere...so will take a look first ) Found him, ...I think this is the grandfather Willem Godfrieds van Leuven and than this Godfried van Perwijs probably is her father ?

Greets and have a great weekend ! Bea
