Biography
Johan Casimir Axelsson Lewenhaupt was born on 12 June 1583 in Gräfsnäs, Erska, Älvsborg, Sverige, son of Axel Lewenhaupt (1554–<1619) and Sidonia von Daun (1549–1588).
Johan married his cousin Sidonia Grip (born on 12 June 1585; daughter of Mauritz Grip and Edla Stensdotter). Their children were:
- Gustav Adolf Lewenhaupt (24 December 1619 – 29 November 1656)
- Carl Mauritz Lewenhaupt (15 May 1620 – 12 December 1666)
- Ludvig Wierich Lewenhaupt (25 August 1622 – 16 April 1668)
Johan passed away on 18 August 1634 in Vinäs, Västra Ed, Kalmar, Sverige, aged 51.
