George was born in 1720, the son of John Lewis and Elizabeth Mayo.

He married Dinah Rich, daughter of Samuel and Elizabeth (Mulford) Rich, on 25 Jul 1745 at Truro, Barnstable, MA Bay - parents of Elizabeth, Sarah, John, Hannah, Mary, Nathaniel, Priscilla and Apphia Lewis

He passed away in 1809 and is buried at Old North Cemetery, Truro, Barnstable, MA
