Ivy (Lewis) Emmanuel was born in Wales.
Ivy was born in 1910 in Monmouthshire in the Welsh Borders. She was the daughter of John and Emily Lewis.
In the 1911 census Ivy (age 0) was the daughter of John Lewis in Newport, Shropshire, England.[1]

Ivy's marriage to steelworker Stephen J Emanuel was registered in the Jul-Aug-Sep quarter of 1927 in the Neath district.[2] They had 3 children:

The birth of Lewis's child Ivor L Emmanuel was registered in the Oct-Nov-Dec quarter of 1927 in the Neath district.[4]
Ivy died on 11 May 1941 along with her husband, her father-in-law and her 2-year old daughter when a German bomb hit her home in Pontrhydyfan. Local colliers successfully rescued her two sons from the rubble.[5] She was buried in 1941 in , Newport, Wales.[6]
