Biography

The son of John Lincoln Mary Yarnall, Jesse Lincoln was born in Rockingham County, Virginia on 17 Jan 1784. ^[1]

Jesse engaged in farming in Knox County, Tennessee.

He married Nancy Brown (1801-1884) in Knox County, Tennessee on 22 Nov 1824. Nancy was the daughter of Joseph Brown and Mary Harbison. ^[2] They had at least three children: ^[3]

1. Hugh Brown Lincoln (1832-1903)
2. John Mordecai Lincoln (1837-1903)
3. Dr. James Hamilton Lincoln (1839-1899)

Jessie passed away in Clarktown, White County, Tennessee on 13 Jul 1857 at age 73. He is interred in Old Sparta Cemetery in Sparta, White County, Tennessee. ^[4]
