Biography
John Lindley was born in Lincolnshire, England.

John lived in Owston in 1841.[2] He married Fanny Cole in 1845.[3] By 1851 the family lived in Eastrington, Yorkshire, where John worked as a sailcloth weaver.[4] By 1861 they had returned to Owston. John was a hemp hand-loom weaver.[5] He had retired by 1881.[6]
John died in 1887 at the age of 68.[7]
