Research Note
It's hard to believe that Richard Lindsley and William Lindsley were not closely related, if not brothers then at the very least they were cousins. Both were involved with dealing both in horses and earthenware. Both named a child Forest or Forrester which is unusual. Richard also has 2 brothers named Thomas and Robert. So far I've not found baptisms which are consistent with all 4 men, that is, William, Richard, Robert and Thomas. Richard gives a birthplace of Evenwood and there is a baptism for him in 1822 son of Robert and Hannah. The others claim a birthplace of Barnard Castle but no more baptisms for children of Robert and Hannah. However, there are baptisms for Thomas and Robert as children of William (a potter) and Hannah at Barnard Castle - also Hannibal, Mary and Robinson.
