Biography

Marguerite Little, born on August 29, 1890, in Mississippi, was the daughter of William Little Sr. and Lucy Burnley (Adams) Little. In 1900, she resided on Main Street in Greenville, Washington County, Mississippi. By 1910, she had relocated to E 19th Street in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma County, Oklahoma.

On December 20, 1912, Marguerite married John Shirley Wood in Oklahoma County, Oklahoma. They began their married life together and in 1920, they lived on East Wilson Street in Madison, Dane County, Wisconsin. In 1930, Marguerite and her husband resided in Paris, France, where John served as an Army officer at the Consular Service. They later moved to Culver, Indiana, in 1935.

By 1940, Marguerite and John found themselves stationed at Fort McPherson in Black Hall, Fulton County, Georgia. Marguerite's life revolved around supporting her husband's military career and the responsibilities that came with it.

Marguerite Little Wood passed away on October 26, 1984, in San Diego County, California. She was laid to rest at Glen Abbey Memorial Park in Bonita, San Diego County, California. Marguerite's life was defined by her commitment to her family and her unwavering support for her husband throughout their journey together.
